For My Sistahs

just a little something I wrote in my head on the long road this weekend, finally got around to putting it down on paper. very rough draft:

For my Sistah's

First we redefined the word fan
Now, we redefine the word FAMILY
Even if we’ve never met
Even if we don’t speak the same language
We SING the same language
We don’t HANG TOUGH to make it through the day
We hang tough to make it through a DECADE (and then some)
We can come together after FIFTEEN YEARS and pick up right where we left off
We have inside jokes (like Oh My Jord, Tractah, Twatter, Tumbleweed and RiddlahPants)
We laugh together and cry together
And sacrifice long hours of monotony for mere moments of pure joy
Anyone who wants to take on one of us
Takes on an ARMY-1 million strong
But that doesn’t keep us from fighting amongst ourselves
We are Bravehearts and Beautiful Bad Girls and Divas and Sergeants
We are SISTAH’s
With our hearts on our sleeves and in our throats
“Through the sunshine and RAIN
We take everything STEP BY STEP,
Even if things get a little bit TWISTED
We just get it
We get each other
Even when other people don’t;
When they think we’re nuts, it just makes us more committed.
Planes, oceans, even LOST PASSPORTS don’t keep us down
And if it all ends tomorrow,
Even if the last show is TONIGHT
We’llbe loving our five Beantown BROTHAS
FOREVAH
