Had a rather unfortunate epiphany this afternoon as I was driving home from work.
I've said for a long time that I'm not a Joe girl. And it's true, I'm really not. My screenname on Twitter simply came from me finding him funny as hell when some of his first tweets were about the Riddler pants-hilarity. I laughed so hard I cried...and I might have even peed a little. I was dared to wear Riddler Pants to a 5* and eagerly embraced the challenge. Thus? McRiddlahPants was born.
Now here's the problem:
Kate is supposed to be a Joe girl. But I kinda don't want her to be with Joe.
I've forgotten all the things I love about him. He's been on my shitlist for a while, and he just keeps digging himself deeper. Before I could put aside the yuck and focus on the things I loved-the way he says "wow, really?" or his peppermint/carolina herrera scent or the fact that he used to lurk my page a little. These things are too distant to strike my heart any more. =/
I've lost my McLovin' feelin, ladies.
So, I need your help. Comment below-what do we love about the Mac? What am I forgetting? Help a sistah out!
Cuz for cereal? This is kind of turning into a Jordan fan fic. =/

I love the way his eyes shine that brilliant blue. One can't forget the ripped body. The way he is a total goofball sometimes (ok this applies to Jordan too, but you get my drift).

ReplyDeleteWell I love the way Joe is so passionate and intense about stuff. Even when he seems he isn't listening, he is taking it all in. How he keeps it real and says what is on his mind. Not as crazy as Jon, but still truthful. Oh and the fact that he loves to say Fuck and balls. lol
Well whenever I am stressed out. All I have to do is put on one of his solo cd's and I am instantly calm. He is also one of the sweetest new kids that you can meet. I was very impressed with him after I met him in 99. Jordan on the other hand, lol well.... not too impressed with him. In the VERY beginning, yes I was a Jordan girl. Then again everyone was. There was too much competition so to speak. LOL Then I saw Danny lift those weights in Step by Step video and it was Danny here I come and I havent turned back yet. Joe is my second though. I dont know if that answers your question but Ultimately it is up to you. Good luck and I cant wait to read it.

ReplyDeleteI think Kate has better chemistry with Jordan. Kate and Joe are good together but it seems like something is missing but yet idk what it is. Kate and Jordan seem to be able to be themselves when together. When Kate and Joe are together she seems to question herself or why she's with him. She doesn't do that with Jordan. I think I've thought about this too much. lol
Whatever you decide I know I'll enjoy the story.
I love watching him really belt out a song on stage. He really puts his whole being into it when he performs. Seeing how much he loves his wife and kids. His sense of humor. His gorgeous blue eyes. (I've always loved blue eyes. Even my husband's eyes are blue. lol) How he acts like a total freaking weirdo goofball because he's still a child at heart. (Yes I went there. LOL) And his voice is so calming to me. If I can't sleep, or if I'm really stressed out, I listen to his Talk To Me cd and it instantly calms me. He's hot, he can sing, he loves the shit out of his family, and he's got a great sense of humor. The perfect man. :)
ReplyDeleteI could be totally wrong, but willing to offer my opinion. My brain bounces between why you love him and why Kat loves him. Yes, of course, the eyes. Capturing. His flagrant honesty. His temper. His competitive and possessive nature--as much as Kat fights it, it's her security. His packrat heart--he doesn't let go of what he loves and memories of it. He's a little critical of himself offstage and out of the spotlight (brought up the forgotten lyrics during the NYC show, I forgot it was even in the set list because of the energy, comedy & other performances), but a pure entertainer when the mic is on. Classic values. Watch some of the YouTube vids from last month. His emotion comes through the ballads (Send in the Clowns, Easier), while the playful kid never dies (You Belong To Me). As far as the story: he needs her as much as she needs him to need her. Does that help?
ReplyDeleteWell Joe was always last on my list and I certainly won't mind a Jordan fic but I will put in my Joe opinion to see if I can help. Joe made my 5* experience in New York what it was. I almost ended up standing next to a random girl in our photo but Joe stopped everything and made sure that I had some New Kids love as well as made sure that my friend got her Joe moment after another girl high jacked her time. We didn't ask or say anything to him he just noticed and took it upon himself. It meant the world to us that he noticed and took the time to make our moments good ones.
ReplyDeleteJoe seems completely genuine to me and that's what I love most about him. He's also one hell of an entertainer and the way he comes off as the annoying little brother that everybody loves during interviews always makes me giggle.
I'm pretty far from a Joe girl, tho I have my moments, but I hope this helps somewhat.
I agree. I think Joe needs Kat, but not the other way around. I think that he needs her because he knows all of his flaws and his focus is on them most of the time (even though he tries the cocky and self-assured thing, I really think it is the biggest sign of his insecurities). He knows that when she's around he has to work to keep her and he's not been that invested in any other girl. He tries so hard to be the man she wants and deserves. He does everything he sees wroth doing with his whole heart. He talks before he thinks so it keeps him real – good or bad. His twitter profile says it all…There’s nothing you can call me that I’m not. I can’t see Joe without her in the story…it would crush him to lose her.
